Cliff Hercules - Head Coach
Cliff, currently a UEFA 'B' Licensed coach has a wealth of coaching experience.
For six years he was a Football Development Manager who co-ordinated Community schemes that influenced in excess of 3000 boys & girls a year. Cliff is also a qualified Hockey & Badminton coach.
He was Manager of Aylesbury United FC for 18 months, gaining promotion to the Ryman Premier League in 2002.
Cliff’s playing career started with local club Oving back in the early eighties. Then as a young 20-year-old he joined semi-professional side Aylesbury United, where he would really make his mark.
He went on to play 659 games and score 301 goals for Aylesbury in a career spanning 15 years. Cliff also spent Two & a half years playing for Slough Town in the senior non-league Conference division, where he played as a striker and defender.
After retiring from football he set up his own Football club in 2006 called Hercules Lions FC - his teams went on to win Leagues and the County Cup.
Highlights of his career are:-
1) As a child scoring a hat-trick in a Cup final played at AUFC playing for the under 11s.
2) Scoring the goal that got Aylesbury United promoted to the National League Conference.
3) Inventing the duck walk that became famous on the television program 'They think it's all over'
4) Playing against the full England squad in 1988 prior to their European championships and getting the then England captain Brian Robson's shirt.

MAX HERCULES - Senior Coach
Full time experienced Coach. Has been coaching with Hercules Sports for 9 years Full time for 7 yrs.
Max is currently an ‘UEFA ‘C’ Licensed coach picking up this qualification at Bucks Sports Academy. He has been coaching in schools since 2016 amassing over 9 years of coaching experience.
Max’s playing career started with local semi-professional club Tring Athletic, then as a young 18-year-old he joined Aylesbury United, where he would establish himself in non-league Football.
He went on to play 93 games for Aylesbury with short spells away from the club at the likes of Kings Langley in 2019 and Southern Premier title winners Banbury United in 2022. He is currently back playing at Tring Athletic having spent the last two seasons at the club.
Career Highlights:
Played against Manchester United at Under 11's for MK Dons Academy.
Being part of the Banbury United squad that won the ‘Southern League Premier Division Central’ for the 2021/22 season
Winning the Herts Charity Shield back to back in seasons 23/24 and 24/25 with Tring Athletic
Winning the Gladwish Challenge Trophy 24/25 with Tring Athletic

FRANKIE HERCULES - Senior Coach
Full time experienced Coach. Has been coaching with Hercules Sports for 9 years Full time for 6 yrs.
Frankie is currently a UEFA C' Licensed Coach.. has been with us since his first few weeks doing work experience way back in 2016.
He Started part-time work for the company during his time at Bucks Sports Academy Where he would gain coaching experience while playing football and securing his coaching qualifications.
He then began Full-Time work for the company in 2021 after the pandemic, coaching in several schools across the Aylesbury Vale area doing PE lessons and After School Football clubs.
Alongside work Frankie plays Semi-Pro football for Tring Athletic, making over 200 first team appearances for the club since making his debut at 18.
Career Highlights:
Playing for Watford FC U10 to U14 Academy. playing against Chelsea, Arsenal & scoring against Tottenham.
Scoring in the FA Cup and getting only 3 games away from Wembley in the FA Vase.
Winning 2 Cups for Tring Athletic in 24/25 season.
